GigaTux - Value Linux Hosting

Welcome to GigaTux

GigaTux offers extremely good value for money hosting solutions, presently focussing on shared (aka virtual) hosting, and in the future, dedicated hosting. Our products, whilst being surprisingly affordable, are reliable and we do not cut any corners when it comes to providing a decent service to our clients. We have been established since February 2007 and have proven that reliability need not come with a high price.

Our proven expertise is with Linux and we offer services using a wide variety of Linux distributions. We understand that each customer's needs vary, and are happy to offer hosting solutions with your choice of distribution and with varying, but generous, amounts of memory, hard disk space and bandwidth.

Right now, we are able to offer some incredible offers as we continue to build up our servers. We can offer VPS systems immediately and have a wide range of packages to suit you.

Virtual Hosting (VPS)

Shared servers from £10 per month

We offer Linux virtual servers running on Intel Core 2 Duo (dual core) hardware from £9.99 per month. This gives you full root access on a Linux system and at 25GB hard drive space and 100GB data transfer, with 128MB RAM dedicated to you. We are, of course, be able to offer greater accounts with more space, RAM and data transfer for a higher price. The virtualisation is performed using Xen, a well proven solution for efficiently partitioning servers.

Please remember that the £10 per month offer, and prices on other current packages, may only be available for a short period and customer numbers are very limited. Even after this initial offer, we will still be providing a very competitive set of packages, although not at such a silly price!

For more information and a breakdown of what we offer, please see the Virtual Hosting pages.

Linux Specialists

We are Linux specialists, having used a variety of distributions day in, day out for many years. We are able to provide your virtual server account set up with the distribution of your choice. We are presently able to cover most popular distributions, including Debian (our recommended server distribution), Ubuntu, Fedora Core and Gentoo. If you prefer another Linux distribution that is freely available, please let us know as it's more than likely that we'll be able to set up your system using the distribution of your choice.
